Eliza Cullum’s London birthplace

In1842, Eliza Cullum, my maternal great-grandmother who married William Franklin, was born in an obscure part of Bloomsbury called Colonnade. Tucked in behind the grand Victorian Hotel Russell which faces Russell Square, Colonnade is a narrow mews. At one end is a former horse hospital, first built in 1797. There are rooms above each of the stables in the mews, so presumably one of these is where Eliza was born.
